New updates for 2010! I am scheduled to appear in the following venues:
- January 15-18, 2010 — Arisia (Cambridge, MA)
- February 12-14, 2010 — Boskone (Boston, MA)
- July 8-11, 2010— Readercon (Burlington, MA), a convention for booklovers, less emphasis on other media
I may be adding others. At the conventions I'll be participating in programming such as panels, autograph sessions, and whatever else the programming committees ask me to do. Please stop by and say hello!
Teaching
Plans are still firming up for teaching events in 2010.
- Ultimate SF Writing Workshop, the ten-week workshop I co-lead with Craig Shaw Gardner , has nearly concluded its fourth annual session. Visit our workshop page, as we expect to run it again in the Fall of 2010. We'll post dates when we have them.
- Advanced Ultimate SF Writing Workshop (Spring 2010) — No firm date yet, but we hope to run our third advanced workshop, registration limited to graduates of our basic workshop or equivalent experience.
- MIT SF Writing course (recently ended) — When long-time SF teacher, author, and friend Joe Haldeman became ill, I was asked to take over his class at MIT, as interim teacher. Interim stretched into the rest of the semester. I had a great time, and the students were terrific. As far I know, Joe will be back on duty next Fall, but right now he's concentrating on getting better.
