Mozilla Easter Egg: Zort!

If you have Firefox on a Windows PC, type this into the URL window:

    about:robots

Just that. (It didn’t work on my daughter’s Linux netbook. But it seems to work in Windows and Mac.)

I’ll send a free Chaos Chronicles ebook collection to the first person to identify all six references, plus mine in the title of this post!

Do you know of other Mozilla Easter eggs?

Don't think I've seen it before – or if I had, it's been a while. Only got five of the six without Google, alas. (Nor yours. Though the one I missed from Mozilla I should've known.)

There's also about:mozilla (whose text has changed over the years in different Mozilla-based browers).

I admit I had to google a couple of them. One, ironically, was from a movie I was in the process of rewatching (in serial fashion, while riding the exercise bike); just hadn't gotten to that line yet.

I only got two (including yours). Clearly I need to work on updating my robot knowledge.

I'll give it another day or two, then post the answers if nobody gets it.

Let me see… Zort is something Brain says in Pinky and the Brain.

    First Law of Robotics.

Last line is Bender, from Futurama.

Plastic Pal Who's Fun To Be With is from Hitchhiker's Guide.

I'd have to go to google for the other two (and I already have all the Chaos Chronicles), so I'll leave the last two for people who already know 'em!

Works fine under Linux (Mint and Ubuntu 10.04) – perhaps some net-book distributions such as Asus uses on their Eee line, being more space conscious, have compilation options which remove extras like this?
